The Commission found that there was no evidence to suggest that Auckland Airport had been earning excessive profits or providing poor service quality to passengers and airlines. Auckland Airport has welcomed the decision, stating that it will continue to focus on serving its customers and supporting the recovery of the aviation sector. The airport operator noted that it has been proactively engaging with the Commission and other stakeholders to ensure that it is operating in the best interests of the New Zealand economy and the travelling public.
