Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited (EOS) has announced that it has secured a contract valued at A$108 million to deliver Remote Weapon Systems (RWS) for the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) LAND 400-3 Project. The contract is with Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA), the prime contractor to the ADF on LAND 400-3. Under the contract, EOS will deliver an enhanced R400 RWS, which has been designed, configured and tested to suit specific ADF requirements and will be fully integrated with Hanwha's Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle. The product will be manufactured in Canberra, Australia, drawing upon EOS' extensive Australian supply chain of over 100 manufacturers. The contract includes the delivery of RWS, spare parts, training, documentation and other items, and is expected to be primarily fulfilled by EOS during 2025, 2026 and 2027. The ADF's LAND 400-3 Project is designed to procure 129 Infantry Fighting Vehicles for the Australian Army.
EOS expects the A$108m contract to be primarily fulfilled during 2025, 2026 and 2027.
