Strong Gold Hits at Bluetooth Upgraded by Resampling
Key Points
  • One-metre resampling confirms and upgrades wide near-surface oxide gold intercepts
  • Potential for additional mineralisation below the oxide profile
  • Geometry appears favourable for shallow open pit extraction
Full Summary

Solstice Minerals Limited (ASX: SLS) has reported one-metre resampling results from its third phase of RC drilling at the advanced Bluetooth Gold Prospect, located within the Company's Yarri Gold Project in Western Australia. The program comprised 15 RC holes for 1,278m, which were originally sampled as 4m composite intervals. One-metre resampling results have confirmed and upgraded wide near-surface intercepts, often within broad zones of strong gold anomalism. Multiple thick, oxide gold intercepts include 18m @ 3.06g/t Au from 60m, 13m @ 1.98g/t Au from 43m, and 12m @ 1.16g/t Au from 57m. Importantly, resampling has also signalled the potential for additional mineralisation below the oxide profile, with one hole delivering 7m @ 1.38g/t Au at the end of hole in fresh rock material. All intercepts are interpreted to be close to true width, defining moderately east-dipping zones of oxide gold mineralisation over a strike length of at least 800m and broadening in a fold closure at the northern part of the Prospect. The results add to Solstice's previous impressive RC intercepts at Bluetooth and strengthen gold continuity, with the next phase of RC drilling planned to continue building up oxide gold positions and include further targeted drilling to track underlying fresh-rock mineralisation.

Outlook

The Company will continue to expand near-surface mineralisation and carry out further drill tests for underlying fresh-rock material, both of which will ultimately allow initial Mineral Resource Estimation work to be undertaken.
