Step-out Drilling Expands La Negra SE
Key Points
  • Further wide zones of oxide silver-gold mineralisation in shallow up-dip hole
  • Substantial mineralisation in both step-out holes, extending mineralisation 100m to the southeast
  • Visible native silver and gold (electrum) identified in deepest hole to date
Full Summary

Unico Silver is pleased to report assay results for a further 8 holes (1150m) at the La Negra SE discovery, within the Company's 100%-owned Joaquin Project in Santa Cruz, Argentina. The holes were designed to extend mineralisation along strike and at depth from the initial discovery hole. Highlights include further wide zones of oxide silver-gold mineralisation in shallow up-dip hole JDD038-25 (60.5m at 168gpt AgEq), and substantial mineralisation in both step-out holes JDD043-25 (54m at 108gpt AgEq) and JDD044-25 (58.5m at 109gpt AgEq), extending mineralisation 100m to the southeast. Visible native silver and gold (electrum) was also identified in the deepest hole to date (JDD056-25), highlighting the potential for deeper mineralisation. Drilling has now defined mineralisation over 525m of strike and 125m of vertical extent, which remains open to the southeast and at depth. To accelerate progress, a third drill rig will be mobilised to site to expedite infill drilling at La Negra SE, while the company also advances step-out and regional exploration at La Morocha SE and Brunilda discoveries.

Outlook

The focus of the current 20,000m fully funded drill program will include further follow up at the La Negra SE discovery targeting extensions of oxide silver-gold mineralisation along strike and to depth, as well as first follow up drilling of the La Morocha SE, La Negra Feeder structure, and Brunilda discoveries.
