Harvest Technology Group Limited (ASX:HTG) has executed a final Settlement Agreement with the owners of the Vos Shine, a vessel originally bareboat chartered by the company in May 2019. The agreement resolves all outstanding matters related to a claim lodged by the vessel's owners following redelivery of the Vos Shine in December 2021. Under the Settlement Agreement, the owners have paid Harvest a total of approximately A$725,000, and receipt of this sum has been confirmed. Harvest CEO Ilario Faenza stated that this has been a long-running legacy issue that has now been concluded on a satisfactory basis. The company's position has always been that the claim lacked merit, and they have worked steadily toward a resolution since 2021, in parallel with related arbitration proceedings in London. As a matter of prudence, all related costs have been fully expensed, meaning the settlement proceeds will have a positive financial impact. With this matter now closed, Harvest can focus entirely on advancing their core technology business.
