Alkane Resources Limited has reported Ore Reserves and Mineral Resources for the Bjorkdal Mine and the Storheden and Norrberget Projects as at 30 June 2025. The Bjorkdal Mine comprises open pit and underground mines and an on-site mineral processing facility, with open pit mining operations currently paused while underground operations continue. At 30 June 2025, the estimated Mineral Resources for the Bjorkdal Mine, Storheden and Norrberget Projects totalled approximately 1.97 million ounces of gold, of which 71% (1.4 Moz) are classified in the Measured and Indicated category. The Total Ore Reserves as at 30 June 2025 are 13.05 Mt grading 1.29g/t Au (543 Koz). Alkane has governance arrangements and internal controls in place with respect to its estimates of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves, including oversight, independent review, and annual reconciliation. The underground mining method used at Bjorkdal is longhole stoping, and the LOM plan comprises production from Bjorkdal underground, open pits at Bjorkdal and Norrberget, and from historical ore stockpiles. Alkane has also provided an update on recent exploration results, including near-mine discoveries and extensions to existing deposits.
The LOM plan for Bjorkdal includes production of 563 Koz of gold over the life of mine, with average annual gold production of 51-67 Koz between 2025-2032.
