Step-Out Drilling Extends Gold Mineralisation at Barimaia
- Strong zones of gold mineralisation intersected in recent step-out RC drilling at McNabs East Prospect
- Interpreted strike length of main zone extended to 700m, remains open along strike and down-plunge
- High-grade gold intersected at shallow depths on northern side of McNabs East
Ordell Minerals Limited (ASX: ORD) has announced further significant assay results from recent Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at its Barimaia Gold Project near Mount Magnet, Western Australia. The results have extended the strike and plunge extent of gold mineralisation at the McNabs East Prospect. Drilling on section 586,040E has intersected mineralisation at the interpreted upper limits of the down-plunge position of the main McNabs East mineralised zone, with results including 7m @ 2.85g/t Au from 125m and 8m @ 2.50g/t Au from 151m. The interpreted zone of mineralisation forming the McNabs East Main Zone has now been extended to over 700m of strike and remains open along strike and down the interpreted plunge to the east. High-grade gold was also intersected at shallow depths on the northern side of McNabs East, with 8m @ 7.27g/t Au from 34m. Drilling approximately 120 metres west of the McNabs Prospect has intersected significant shallow mineralisation within a granodiorite unit, representing a new and significant exploration target. Upcoming exploration will focus on continuing to expand the mineralisation at McNabs East, testing the newly identified area west of McNabs, and following up anomalous gold zones identified by air-core drilling.
Ordell's exploration at Barimaia will continue to focus on expanding the large zone of gold mineralisation at McNabs East, with drilling targeting high-grade mineralisation within the potential down-plunge extensions. RC drilling will also test the newly identified area west of the McNabs Prospect, and follow up on anomalous gold zones identified by air-core drilling.
