Further Assays as Drilling Commences at Dadjan and Tole
- 5,000m of Reverse Cycle (RC) drilling underway at Dadjan Main Zone, Grand Plateau, and Tole Main Zone
- 7,500 m of Power Auger drilling underway at NE Tole and Central Tole
- Encouraging results from trench, soil, rock-chip, and dump samples at Dadjan and Tole
DeSoto Resources Ltd (ASX:DES) has commenced drilling at its Dadjan and Tole projects in Guinea. At Dadjan, a 3,800 metre RC drilling program is underway across the Dadjan Main Zone and Grand Plateau. Dadjan has seen over 50 years of recorded artisanal mining but no modern-day exploration or drilling. Recent soil sampling has returned results up to 3.99 g/t Au, while trench sampling has produced results up to 5.61 g/t Au. At the Tole project, a 7,500 metre Power Auger drilling program is underway at the NE Tole and Central Tole prospects. Rock chip sampling at the Tole Main Zone has returned results up to 41.35 g/t Au, with trench sampling producing results up to 7.45 g/t Au. The company is also continuing regional exploration across its 934km2 Siguiri land package in Guinea, with soil, rock chip, and BLEG sampling programs underway at several prospects. The drilling and exploration activities are being funded by the company's recently completed $14 million strategic placement.
The company will continue to aggressively explore its 1,000km2 portfolio in Guinea, utilising low-cost, early-stage programs such as regional BLEG stream sediment sampling, detailed soil geochemistry, and power auger drilling to refine target areas ahead of potential RC or aircore drilling.
