Sunrise Bore Gold Project expands Laverton landholding in WA
- Sunrise Bore mineralisation straddles a major north-south fault hosting nearby multi-million-ounce gold mines
- Over 800m of mineralisation defined by drilling, including high-grade intersections
- Exploration potential covers 3.6km of strike, with mineralisation open along strike, down dip and plunge
Platina Resources has signed a conditional agreement to acquire the Sunrise Bore Gold Project, located approximately 44km south of Laverton in Western Australia. The project is strategically located near Platina's recently acquired Mt McKenna Project and the multi-million-ounce Sunrise Dam gold mine. The Sunrise Bore mineralisation straddles a major north-south fault which also hosts the nearby Keringal Mine (450koz Au), Golden Delicious Mine (240koz Au), and Jubilee Mine (145koz Au). Over 800m of mineralisation has been defined by wide-spaced drill lines and high-grade intersections, including 84m @ 3.13g/t Au, 6m @ 4.97g/t Au, 64m @ 0.56g/t Au, and 22m @ 1.01g/t Au. The exploration potential covers 3.6km of strike, with the mineralisation open along strike, down dip and plunge. Platina plans to undertake a systematic drilling program to expand the existing defined mineralisation. The project has excellent access and can be drilled quickly and cost-effectively following cultural heritage approvals. Platina has entered into a conditional agreement to acquire 100% of the Sunrise Bore tenement application, with consideration comprising a cash payment, Platina shares, and a 1% net smelter royalty.
Platina plans to undertake a systematic drilling program at the Sunrise Bore Gold Project to expand the existing defined mineralisation along strike and at depth. The project is strategically located near Platina's other projects in the Laverton region, which will operate as a central hub for a cost-effective approach.
