High-grade gold assays returned in Menzies DD drilling
- Significant high-grade gold intercepts returned from diamond drilling at the Yunndaga deposit, part of the Menzies Gold Project
- Visible gold observed in multiple drill holes, confirming high-grade mineralization
- Results will support an upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate upgrade and declaration of maiden Underground Ore Reserves
Brightstar Resources has received final assay results from a ~6,400m reverse circulation and diamond drilling program targeting infill and extensional resource drilling at the Yunndaga deposit, located within the 0.6Moz @ 1.4g/t Au Menzies Gold Project. Significant intercepts include 7m @ 5.70g/t Au from 230m, including 0.6m @ 54.8g/t Au, and 10.6m @ 2.28g/t Au from 217m, including 1.1m @ 11.9g/t Au. The drilling program has intersected visible gold in multiple diamond drill holes, confirming the high-grade nature of the mineralization. The results are complementary to recently reported RC assay results, which also returned high-grade intercepts. The drilling program aimed to infill areas of the Mineral Resource Estimate that fall within or adjacent to optimised stope shapes, and to test for down-dip extensions to known mineralization. The program also provided further geotechnical and metallurgical information. An update to the Mineral Resource Estimate at Yunndaga is underway and is expected to be reported in the coming weeks, enabling an updated mine design and the declaration of maiden Underground Ore Reserves at the deposit in the coming months.
Brightstar is targeting the commencement of mining operations at the Lady Shenton deposit in the Menzies Gold Project in the first half of calendar year 2026.
Exploration activities continue across Brightstar's portfolio, with diamond, aircore, and RC drilling ongoing at the Sandstone Hub and a second RC rig mobilized to the Laverton Hub to follow up on recent exceptional results from the Lord Byron deposit.
