Quarterly Activities/Appendix 5B Cash Flow Report
- Strong gold mineralisation intersected at McNabs East, extending strike length to over 700m
- New drill targets identified from wide-spaced first-pass drilling over Barimaia Intrusion
- $3.85 million capital raising completed to fund ongoing exploration
Ordell Minerals Limited (ASX: ORD) has reported strong results from diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the McNabs East prospect within its Barimaia Gold Project in Western Australia. The drilling has extended the strike length of the main mineralised zone at McNabs East to over 700m, with wide intercepts including high-grade gold. Key results include 25m @ 2.43g/t Au, 35m @ 0.90g/t Au, and 33m @ 0.87g/t Au. High-grade gold was also intersected at shallow depths on the northern side of McNabs East, with 8m @ 7.27g/t Au. The extensive zone of gold mineralisation at McNabs East remains open along strike and untested down the interpreted plunge to the east. Wide-spaced first-pass shallow RC drilling over the recently extended Barimaia Intrusion has also identified significant new drill targets, including 5m @ 3.06g/t Au and 17m @ 0.61g/t Au. Upcoming exploration will focus on expanding the McNabs East mineralisation, testing the newly identified area west of the McNabs prospect, and following up on the near-surface anomalous gold zones and felsic intrusions identified by the wide-spaced air-core drilling. The company also completed a $3.85 million capital raising during the quarter to fund ongoing exploration.
Exploration over the coming months at Barimaia will include continuing to expand the large zone of gold mineralisation at McNabs East, RC drilling to test the newly identified area west of the McNabs prospect, following up on anomalous gold zones and felsic intrusions identified by wide-spaced air-core drilling, and further in-fill and extensional air-core drilling along the +7km of known prospective strike.
