Theia In-fill Drilling Continues to Deliver Broad Gold Zones
Key Points
  • Assay results received for 16 more holes (1,765 metres) of 99-hole (10,000-metre) in-fill RC drill program at Theia Deposit
  • Consistent high-grade gold intersections, including up to 63.4g/t Au
  • Drilling aimed to increase density to 12m x 12m to potentially underpin Measured Resource classification
Full Summary

Astral Resources NL (ASX: AAR) is pleased to report assay results for a further 16 holes (1,765 metres) of the recently completed 99-hole (10,000-metre) 12-metre by 12-metre in-fill drilling program at the flagship Theia Deposit, part of the 100%-owned Mandilla Gold Project. The latest results continue to demonstrate broad zones of high-grade gold mineralisation, with several intersections over 10g/t Au. Highlights include 40 metres at 2.90g/t Au, 38 metres at 1.66g/t Au, and 41 metres at 1.49g/t Au. The in-fill drilling program was designed to increase the drill density over a panel of the Stage 1 Theia Pit to potentially underpin a Measured Resource classification. The results show a strong correlation to the latest Theia Mineral Resource Estimate of 33.3Mt at 1.1g/t Au for 1.15Moz of contained gold. A 3,000-metre diamond drill program is also underway at Theia to test for high-grade structures and potential parallel mineralised zones. Exploration is also continuing at the Feysville Gold Project, with RC drilling programs focused on extending high-grade zones at Kamperman and testing regional targets.

Outlook

Astral is focused on progressing the Mandilla Gold Project, with the in-fill drilling program at Theia now complete and a diamond drill program underway to further test the deposit. Exploration is also continuing at the Feysville project to extend high-grade zones and identify new targets.
