Dateline Advances BFS, Prepares to Test Gold & REE Targets
- BFS drilling program 67% complete, focused on infill, extensional, geotechnical, and tailings stability
- Drilling of historical 1Mt stockpile grading ~1 g/t Au to confirm grade and add to mine plan
- Exploration drilling to commence on new high-priority gold and rare earth element (REE) targets
Dateline Resources Limited (ASX: DTR, OTCQB: DTREF, FSE: YE1) is pleased to provide an update on the drilling activities underway at its 100%-owned Colosseum Gold-REE Project in California, USA. The current BFS drilling phase is focused on infill, extensional, geotechnical, and tailings stability holes, with the program 67% complete and expected to be finished by early November 2025. Additionally, the company plans to conduct reverse-circulation (RC) drilling on an existing 1Mt historical stockpile grading approximately 1 g/t Au, which could add an estimated 30,000 ounces of gold to the feasibility inventory. A sonic drilling program has also been completed over the existing tailings storage facility, confirming the foundation stability and suitability for future use as a dry-stack tailings and waste rock facility. With the BFS drilling programs nearing completion, the focus will shift to testing several newly defined, high-priority gold and rare earth targets identified from recent geophysical and geochemical work across the Colosseum system. Drilling will commence on the gold breccia pipe targets (Targets 1, 5, and 6) and the 2200N REE target, the first of three defined anomalies to be tested.
The company has not provided any high-importance, price-sensitive forward-looking financial metrics in the announcement.
The company has not provided any specific forward-looking outlook in the announcement, but the announcement indicates that the focus will shift to testing new gold and rare earth element targets after the completion of the BFS drilling program.
