BPH Global signs seaweed supply deal with Indonesian government
- 2-year agreement to supply up to 200 tonnes of seaweed per month from Maluku, Indonesia
- Collaboration to establish seaweed-based bio-stimulant manufacturing facility in Maluku
- Strengthens BPH Global's supply chain and supports growth in Indonesia's premium seaweed market
BPH Global Ltd (ASX: BP8), a leading commercial seaweed supply and export company, has executed a binding commercial framework agreement with Perumda Panca Raya (PPR Maluku), a provincial government company based in Maluku, Indonesia. Under the agreement, PPR Maluku will supply seaweed from Maluku to BPH Global's Indonesian subsidiary and act as a key regional partner to support BPH Global's seaweed-based bio-stimulant development and commercialization strategy. The initial supply target is 200 metric tons per month, with specific quantities to be confirmed by mutual agreement each month. BPH Global will establish a dedicated seaweed-processing warehouse in the Province of Maluku within the next six months, expanding its total seaweed processing capacity to approximately 500 tonnes per month across four operating warehouses. The parties have also committed to cooperate in establishing a seaweed-based bio-stimulant manufacturing facility in Maluku, with PPR Maluku providing support in securing land, coordinating with local community groups and farmer cooperatives, and promoting quality, traceability, and sustainability standards.
BPH Global expects to expand its total seaweed processing capacity to approximately 500 tonnes per month across four operating warehouses in Indonesia.
The agreement with PPR Maluku strengthens BPH Global's supply chain by securing reliable sourcing of seaweed from Maluku, while also providing a strategic partnership to advance the company's seaweed-based bio-stimulant initiatives.
