Credit Corp Chair's Address and Proxy Voting Summary
- Return to strong earnings growth and excellent platform for sustained growth
- Diversified financial services group with US and consumer lending driving growth
- Expanded digital and AI capabilities to enhance competitiveness and growth
In his final year as Chair of Credit Corp, the Chair reported a return to strong earnings growth and the creation of an excellent platform for sustained growth over the years ahead. The company's strategic diversification, which has taken place over many years, was demonstrated in 2025, with the US and consumer lending businesses producing over three-quarters of the company's earnings. While these businesses will continue to drive growth, important steps were also taken in 2025 to establish a platform for further expansion, including the achievement of key business improvements, the addition of innovative new lending products, and progress towards entry into a new geographic market. The Australian and New Zealand debt buying segment produced a solid result despite constrained conditions, and there were encouraging signs that the market may return to growth. In the US, confidence to invest grew alongside improved operational performance, with the team executing on a comprehensive program of business improvement. The Australian lending business also delivered impressive segment earnings growth, with refreshed marketing ensuring sufficient volume to grow the loan book over the course of the year. Behind the solid headline business performance, the company devoted considerable resources to the development of enhanced digital and AI capabilities, which increased the number of collection outcomes produced by digital interactions alone by more than 50% over the prior year. The company also established a separate AI function to harness the power of Large Language Models, which has already started assisting in areas including software development and the automation of collection activity recordkeeping. The company also agreed terms for a small acquisition to accelerate its entry into the UK lending market, which is a larger and underserved credit-impaired consumer segment compared to Australia.
Credit Corp is confidently looking forward to continued growth from leading businesses coupled with an exciting pipeline of innovation and expansion.
