Metal Hawk Completes Maiden Drilling at Leinster South
- Maiden RC drilling program completed at Leinster South with 55 holes drilled for 5,528m
- High-grade gold intersected at multiple prospects including Thylacine, Siberian Tiger, and Tysons
- Ongoing exploration continuing to generate new gold targets
Metal Hawk Limited (ASX: MHK) has completed a maiden RC drilling program at the Leinster South Project, located between 10km and 40km south of Leinster, Western Australia. The 55-hole, 5,528m drilling program targeted the Thylacine, Siberian Tiger, and Tysons prospects, with significant gold mineralization intersected at all three areas. Highlights include 1m @ 13.87 g/t Au from 47m and 2m @ 2.74 g/t Au from 74m at Thylacine, 2m @ 7.87 g/t Au from 7m at Siberian Tiger, and 2m @ 2.44 g/t Au from 37m at Tysons. The company is encouraged by the high tenor of gold mineralization and plans to follow up with diamond drilling at Thylacine to test the deeper potential, as well as conduct regional geophysical surveys and geochemical sampling to generate additional targets for future drill testing. Metal Hawk also completed the sale of the Berehaven and Viking Projects to Mount Burgess Mining N.L. during the quarter, and now holds a 17.4% stake in the company.
The company has not provided any high-importance, price-sensitive forward-looking financial metrics in the announcement.
Metal Hawk plans to continue exploration activities at the Leinster South Project, including diamond drilling at the Thylacine prospect, extensive aeromagnetic and radiometric surveys, and Sub-Audio Magnetic (SAM) geophysical surveys. The company is focused on defining additional drill targets and further resolving the interpreted deeper alteration system at Thylacine.
