Andean reports bumper drilling results at Cerro Bayo
- Drilling hits extremely high-grade silver and gold outside current resources
- Discovery of multiple new veins and extensions of existing veins
- Mineral Resource has increased by 340% in 18 months since acquisition
Andean Silver Limited (ASX: ASL, OTCQX: ADSLF) reported another highly successful quarter, with exceptional drilling results as part of its strategy to grow and upgrade the Mineral Resource Estimate at its Cerro Bayo Silver-Gold Project in Chile. The company discovered multiple high-grade silver-gold mineralised veins at the Temer lode within 1km of the processing plant, highlighting the scope for more resource growth close to the existing infrastructure. Drilling also returned exceptional assays grading up to 3,224g/t silver and 21.9g/t gold from extensions of the primary mineralised domains within the main Laguna Verde underground mine complex. The Mineral Resource has increased by 340% in the 18 months since Andean's acquisition of the Cerro Bayo Project, with the discovery of multiple new vein systems. Andean's exploration strategy for the next 12 months will focus on drilling brownfield targets for growth of existing Resources, underpinning long-term growth through project generation, and commencing broader regional exploration campaigns.
Andean will maintain its aggressive drilling strategy and keep generating strong newsflow as part of its plan to create value by growing and upgrading the resource at the Cerro Bayo Silver-Gold Project.
