- Significantly expanded Central Rutile Project to 8,789km2
- Confirmed high-grade rutile mineralisation up to 2.1%
- Commenced 91-hole auger drilling program at Central Rutile
DY6 Metals has released its Quarterly Activities Report, highlighting significant progress across its projects during the quarter and post-quarter end. The company has substantially expanded the license footprint of its Central Rutile Project in Cameroon, adding approximately 5,901 km² to bring the total project area to 8,789 km² across 21 exploration permits. This expansion includes key prospects at Bounde, Matomb, Alamba, and Nsimbo, all of which have previously returned high-grade rutile and heavy mineral sands (HMS) results. The company has confirmed high-grade natural rutile mineralisation of up to 2.1% over 1m at Nsimbo and 1.57% over 1m at Alamba. Reconnaissance drilling conducted during the quarter also identified thick zones of HMS mineralisation across the Central Rutile Project. Following these positive results, DY6 has commenced a 91-hole auger drilling campaign to delineate high-grade rutile zones and support the project's advancement. In Malawi, the company has initiated a strategic review of its rare earth element (REE) portfolio, considering the current tailwinds in the critical minerals sector. DY6 has also secured A$4.625 million in funding to accelerate its work and has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Cliff Fitzhenry as CEO.
