Tomingley Drilling Discovers New Mineralisation at McLeans
- Underground drilling discovers a second andesite with significant gold mineralisation at McLeans
- Drilling at Roswell confirms multiple wide, high-grade gold intercepts within the Western Monzodiorite domain
- Additional exploration drilling planned to test underground potential at Wyoming Three, extensions to mineralisation north of Caloma, and a deep structural target beneath Roswell
Alkane Resources has reported the latest results from underground expansion and pre-mine grade control drilling around the existing resources at its Tomingley Gold Operations in New South Wales. The underground drilling at McLeans has discovered a second andesite with significant gold mineralisation located approximately 150m to the west of the current resource. Significant intercepts include 26m at 4.36g/t Au and 10.7m at 2.09g/t Au. The drilling also confirmed high-grade gold mineralisation within the existing Inferred Resource at McLeans. At the Roswell deposit, an intensive underground drilling program within the Western Monzodiorite domain has returned multiple wide, high-grade gold intercepts, with best results including 9.3m at 3.88g/t Au, 25.6m at 1.94g/t Au, and 12.1m at 5.44g/t Au. The drilling will improve the confidence of the Mineral Resource Estimation and provide a basis for conversion to Ore Reserves. Additional exploration drilling is also planned to test the underground potential at Wyoming Three, extensions to mineralisation north of Caloma, and a deep structural target beneath Roswell.
Alkane's underground and surface drill programs throughout Tomingley will continue, with the aim of adding further resources and mine life.
