- Inaugural regional RC drilling program at Marionete/Star of Ennuin, Lake View, and Baby Queen prospects
- Historic high-grade gold production up to 37 g/t Au reported at Marionete/Star of Ennuin
- Previous small-scale mining at Lake View and Baby Queen produced ~150 ounces at high grades
Golden Horse Minerals Limited (ASX: GHM) has announced the commencement of a regional drilling program at its Marionete/Star of Ennuin, Lake View, and Baby Queen prospects located northwest of Bullfinch in Western Australia's Southern Cross region. The ~2,000m RC drilling program aims to delineate shallow gold mineralization at these three prospects, which have all recorded historic high-grade gold production. At the Marionete/Star of Ennuin trend, historical results have reported production exceeding 37 g/t Au, with recent rock chip sampling by Golden Horse returning assays up to 100 g/t Au. The proposed 19-hole, 1,075m drill program will target high-grade material along the full +300m strike length of the mineralized zone. The Lake View and Baby Queen prospects, located approximately 1km apart, also feature historic small-scale mining that produced around 150 ounces of gold at grades of 20.7 g/t and 48.6 g/t, respectively. The drill programs at these prospects will comprise 10 holes for 680m at Lake View and 6 holes for 360m at Baby Queen. In parallel with the regional drilling, Golden Horse's ongoing resource definition and growth drilling continues at the Hopes Hill prospect, with two diamond rigs currently active. Assay results from this program are expected to be released on an ongoing basis. The regional drilling campaign represents an exciting opportunity for Golden Horse to test these highly prospective targets and build on the success of the Hopes Hill program.
Golden Horse is looking forward to sharing news from the regional drilling program, with additional drill programs already lined up for the RC rig to allow the company to hit 2026 with a winning stride.
