American Rare Earths (ASX: ARR) has announced the release of a preliminary updated mineral processing flowsheet for the Halleck Creek Rare Earths Project, along with progress on ongoing optimisation work. The key highlights include:- Preliminary Reflux Classifier Concentrator (RCC) test results show improved rare earth recoveries and a lower mass yield compared to spirals, potentially providing positive operating benefits for downstream processing.- Ongoing comminution optimisation tests are expected to yield a reduction in fines generation, which could further enhance beneficiation and rare earth recoveries.- The company will conduct additional bulk testing on the RCC and complete other steps to finalise the Halleck Creek mineral processing flowsheet, which is a key milestone ahead of the Pre-Feasibility Study.The optimisation work is aimed at finding optimal and conventional processing methods to increase the recovery of rare earth minerals from the Halleck Creek ore.
