BrainChip Holdings Ltd, the world's first commercial producer of neuromorphic artificial intelligence IP, has announced a capital raising initiative to support the continued commercialization of its Akida neuromorphic technology platform and the development of next-generation edge AI products. The equity capital raising comprises a fully underwritten A$35 million institutional placement to professional and sophisticated investors, and a non-underwritten A$2 million share purchase plan for eligible shareholders in Australia and New Zealand. The funds raised will be used to accelerate the commercialization of the Akida 2.0 technology platform, expedite the development of TENNs algorithms, Pico, and related edge AI products, fund ongoing research and development for BrainChip's Generative AI platform, advance the design and implementation of next-generation chip architecture, support the development of world-class reference designs, and provide general working capital to support operations. The placement and share purchase plan will be conducted at an offer price of A$0.175 per share, representing a discount to the recent trading prices. The capital raise positions BrainChip to accelerate its leadership in edge AI and neuromorphic computing, unlocking new commercial opportunities in high-growth sectors and driving scalable innovation.
