Brightstar Resources has announced results from reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling (DD) programs at its Second Fortune and Fish mines, as well as nearby exploration prospects, within the Laverton Hub. The drilling results highlight the potential for mine life extensions at both of Brightstar's Laverton underground operations. At the Fish Mine, surface and underground drilling targeted the 'Stage 2' mine plan and extensions at depth, with assays continuing to support the continuity of mineralization at depth and the potential for material mine life extensions. Underground drilling intersected significant mineralization in the main zone as well as parallel hangingwall and footwall zones, presenting a near-term opportunity for Brightstar to evaluate a scenario of mining multiple lodes at Fish. At the Second Fortune Mine, RC drilling targeted near-mine targets and several regional exploration prospects, with high-grade intercepts reported at the Linden Giant, Linden Star, and Alawa prospects. These targets are located within 3km of the active Second Fortune mine, so any potential discovery could leverage the established mine infrastructure. A downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey conducted at Fish identified multiple conductor plates at depth associated with the known high-grade gold-pyrrhotite mineralization, providing an effective targeting tool for future drilling and potentially representing extensions to mineralization.
