New Drilling Program Underway as Barimaia Continues to Grow
- ~5,000m air-core drilling program underway targeting ~3km of strike of the Barimaia granodiorite intrusion to the east of McNabs East
- ~3,000m Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program to commence at McNabs East over 500m of strike and to ~90m vertical depth
- Diamond drilling to commence in December to further evaluate potential high-grade strike and plunge extensions of McNabs East
Ordell Minerals Limited (ASX: ORD) has commenced a major new multi-pronged 10,000m drilling campaign at its Barimaia Gold Project, located near Mount Magnet in the Murchison region of Western Australia. The new phase of drilling builds on successful drilling programs completed this year and is aimed at in-filling and extending the known shallow mineralisation within the main zone at McNabs East, targeting immediate extensions and unlocking potential new discoveries within the +7km long strike extent of prospective host granodiorite intrusions. The upcoming exploration program includes a ~3,000m Reverse Circulation (RC) in-fill drilling program at McNabs East over 500m of strike to ~90m vertical depth, wide-spaced RC drilling over 500m of strike west of the McNabs Prospect, diamond drilling to continue testing strike and plunge extensions of gold mineralisation at McNabs East, and a ~5,000m air-core drilling program targeting ~3km of strike of the Barimaia granodiorite intrusion to the east of McNabs East. The company has also received assay results from a 7-hole diamond drilling program completed in September and October 2025, with strong zones of gold mineralisation intersected in the first four holes, including 32.6m @ 0.90g/t Au from 256.95m and 8.9m @ 2.10g/t Au from 159.13m. The extensive zone of gold mineralisation outlined at McNabs East continues to grow, remains open along strike, and is untested down the interpreted plunge to the east.
Exploration for the remainder of 2025 will continue targeting extensions to the known mineralisation and new discoveries both along strike and down-plunge of McNabs East and also along the entire +7km of known strike of the Barimaia intrusions.
