Polymetals Resources Ltd has provided an update on the resumption of operations at its Endeavor silver zinc mine in Cobar, NSW, following a tragic accident on October 28 that claimed the lives of two employees. The company's Executive Chairman, Dave Sproule, expressed his continued condolences to the families and the Cobar community, while also highlighting the need to recommence operations to support the business, its people, suppliers, and stakeholders. A rigorous review of explosives handling and use procedures was completed prior to the restart of hoisting and continuous milling of ore on November 15. Mining teams have transitioned from day shift only to continuous shift work. Concentrate shipments have resumed, with silver-lead concentrate deliveries to port underway ahead of a second shipment scheduled for early December. Near-mine exploration activities have continued, with diamond drilling focused on identifying additional mineralization near existing underground workings. A second drill rig is expected this week to further accelerate exploration. Regional exploration programs have also progressed, with preparatory work underway for planned drilling campaigns. The company is managing its working capital and is in advanced discussions for standby credit facilities to provide further capital if required.

The company remains focused on seeking to understand the cause of the tragic accident and hopes that any definitive outcome may improve safety in blasting operations on an industry-wide basis.
