Sandstone exploration drilling returns 157m @ 1.13g/t Au
Key Points
  • Drilling at Bull Oak and Havilah deposits intersects high-grade gold mineralization
  • Broad mineralized intercepts at Bull Oak deposit indicate potential for significant resource growth
  • Ongoing drilling at Sandstone Hub to delineate extensions and increase resource confidence
Full Summary

Brightstar Resources has received results from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Bull Oak and Havilah deposits, part of the 2.4Moz @ 1.5g/t Au Sandstone Hub. The drilling was designed to test beneath the existing Mineral Resources for potential extensions to the known extents of the ore bodies. At the Bull Oak deposit, the drilling intersected narrow zones of high-grade mineralization related to both granodiorite-hosted quartz veins and neighboring banded iron units (BIFs), including 3m @ 31.40g/t Au, 10m @ 5.83g/t Au, and 9m @ 4.44g/t Au. Importantly, these high-grade intervals were typically present within wide haloes of lower grade material, with significant intercepts such as 157m @ 1.13g/t Au, 168m @ 0.40g/t Au, and 73m @ 1.14g/t Au. At the Havilah deposit, the drilling intersected quartz breccia veins with significant intercepts including 5m @ 12.8g/t Au. The company has four rigs currently drilling at the Sandstone Hub, focused on infill and extensional drilling to delineate the mineralized lodes and facilitate a Mineral Resource update. Concurrently, pre-feasibility study workstreams are underway as Brightstar looks to fast-track development studies at the project.

Outlook

Ongoing drilling at the Sandstone Hub to delineate extensions and increase resource confidence. Pre-feasibility study workstreams underway to fast-track development studies.
