Regional Drill Program Confirms Another High-Grade Zone
- Reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Baby Queen delivered high-grade intercepts up to 15.7 g/t Au
- Drill testing at Lake View identified zones of shallow gold mineralization up to 2.5 g/t Au
- Ongoing mapping and sampling to continue ahead of aggressive RC drill programs in 2026
Golden Horse Minerals Limited (ASX: GHM) has announced the initial assay results from its maiden regional drilling program at the Baby Queen and Lake View prospects, located approximately 15km and 50km north-northwest of Bullfinch and Southern Cross, respectively, in Western Australia. The drilling campaign was part of a broader regional exploration effort that also included the previously reported Marionete-Star of Ennuin trend. At Baby Queen, the 6-hole, 450m RC program returned significant intercepts such as 2m at 8.1 g/t Au from 64m, including 1m at 15.7 g/t Au, and 3m at 4.7 g/t Au from 25m, including 1m at 14.0 g/t Au. These results suggest depth extensions of a high-grade zone located approximately 50m vertically below historical workings exposed at surface. The 10-hole, 716m program at Lake View identified zones of shallow gold mineralization, with the best results including 2m at 2.5 g/t Au from 25m and 2m at 1.1 g/t Au from 45m. The company noted that while reasonable potential remains at Lake View, it has identified numerous additional targets within its extensive Southern Cross tenure that will be prioritized for drilling in 2026. Ongoing mapping and sampling will continue ahead of the next phase of regional exploration, which is building up nicely.
Golden Horse is planning aggressive RC drill programs at multiple areas within its +1,800km2 Southern Cross tenure during 2026, following up on the encouraging results from the regional drill program.
