Full Summary

Kingsland Minerals Ltd (ASX:KNG) has announced a significant step forward in the development of its Leliyn graphite project in the Northern Territory. The company's offtake partner, Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, will conduct test work on using Leliyn graphite concentrate as feedstock for its planned downstream processing facility in Darwin. Kingsland will supply Quinbrook with diamond drill core from a recent metallurgical drilling program at Leliyn. This test work will be conducted in parallel with Kingsland's Pre-feasibility Study (PFS) for the project, which has now been approved by the Kingsland Board and has commenced. The PFS will focus on the production of graphite concentrate from Leliyn and will include a drilling program in 2026 to upgrade inferred resources into indicated and/or measured mineral resources. Kingsland has a binding offtake agreement with Quinbrook to supply graphite concentrate for downstream processing. In addition to the metallurgical test work, environmental studies will also soon commence for the project. Kingsland has a significant mineral resource at Leliyn, with an Indicated Resource of 12.3Mt @ 7.9% TGC and an Inferred Resource of 180.2Mt @ 7.2% TGC, containing a total of 14.0Mt of graphite. The company also has an Exploration Target of 700-1,100Mt @ 7-8% TGC, highlighting the significant upside potential of the project.

Outlook

Kingsland is funded to commence the Pre-feasibility Study through the initial environmental studies, the infill drilling program in 2026 and the subsequent mineral resource estimation update. Successful test work by Quinbrook on using Leliyn graphite as feedstock for its planned downstream processing facility would help ensure Kingsland is well on track to developing a world-scale, long-life project based on the extremely large Leliyn resource and a major nearby offtake customer.
