Janison Education Group Limited (ASX: JAN) has secured a major five-year multi-services Agreement valued at ~A$21 million (NZ$24 million) with the New Zealand Ministry of Education to deliver the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART). This assignment is a major national initiative, supporting twice-yearly assessments for students in Years 3 to 10 across reading, writing, maths, pānui, tuhituhi and pāngarau. SMART will play a central role in New Zealand's assessment, aromatawai, reporting and monitoring activity, delivering a bilingual approach to understanding student learning progress across Aotearoa. Work on the assignment commenced via a bridging contract in July 2025 and will continue under the newly executed five-year agreement. The world-class bilingual SMART will be delivered using Janison's secure and scalable online assessment platform, providing a long-term digital foundation for national assessment in New Zealand. The five-year agreement total contract value (TCV) of ~A$21 million (NZ$24 million) reflects the minimum committed contract revenues over the term. It is subject to standard termination provisions as well as termination for convenience. Year 1 revenue is estimated at approximately A$3.0m. Additional project components and service work are expected to be commissioned via Statements of Work (SOWs) during the contract term and are not included in the contracted TCV.
