Saunders International Limited (ASX:SND) has been awarded a $20 million Defence infrastructure subcontract at RAAF Base Learmonth in Western Australia by CPB Contractors. Saunders' scope includes the supply, installation and commissioning of approximately 3.5 km of in-ground aviation fuel hydrant piping, supported by associated civil, electrical and control systems, as well as the supply, installation and commissioning of an airfield lighting emergency generator fuel system, including diesel storage and transfer infrastructure. This project will draw on expertise across Saunders' core capabilities, including Structural, Mechanical and Piping; Civil Infrastructure; and Industrial Automation and Electrical. It reinforces Saunders' position as a trusted provider of defence-critical fuel infrastructure and a leading specialist in fuel storage and transfer solutions. Saunders' Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Angelo De Angelis, stated that this strategically important project to enhance defence capability in the region reflects the company's expertise in the planning and delivery of fuel infrastructure for Defence. Saunders remains positive about the Defence & Government sector, a key market for the company, and this subcontract further strengthens its orderbook. The company will continue to target the directly addressable Defence fuel infrastructure pipeline, a significant opportunity for future growth. This milestone also highlights Saunders' growing presence in Western Australia and builds on its partnership with CPB Contractors, marking its second Defence project together.
Saunders expects the project to contribute to revenue and earnings in FY26 and FY27.
