Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ECT) has completed the acquisition of 100% of the issued shares in Terrajoule Pty Ltd (Terrajoule). Through this acquisition, ECT now holds an exclusive licence from William Marsh Rice University to use its proprietary flash joule heating technology for remediating soil contaminated by PFAS and/or heavy metals. The completion of this transaction follows several key appointments made by ECT, including Justin Sharp as Chief Technology Officer and the addition of Robert Bilott, Professor James Tour and Lewis Utting to its Advisory Board. These appointments provide a strong foundation for ECT to pursue its strategy of developing a diversified portfolio of high-impact and disruptive technologies. ECT's Chairman, Faldi Ismail, commented that the execution of the licence agreement with Rice University marks a pivotal year for the company as it focuses on its refreshed strategy to develop and commercialise scalable, innovative technologies with strong potential across high-growth markets. In addition to the Terrajoule acquisition, ECT has also completed Tranche 2 of a $3.25M placement, raising further funds to support its growth initiatives.
