RC drilling defines 2km mineralised trend at Hand in Hand
Key Points
  • Widespread highly anomalous gold with 11 out of 15 holes returning significant intersections (>2g/t x m Au)
  • Mineralisation remains open between wide spaced drillholes, at depth and along strike
  • Drilling reached an average of ~100m vertical but was unable to test planned depths of ~250m vertical due to excessive groundwater
Full Summary

Koonenberry Gold (ASX:KNB) has completed 15 drill holes for 1,864m in first pass, wide spaced, relatively shallow RC drilling at the Hand in Hand Prospect, up to 2km along strike to the east of the broad and high-grade gold mineralisation identified at the Sunnyside Prospect. Highlights from the program include widespread highly anomalous gold with 11 out of 15 holes returning significant intersections (>2g/t x m Au), highlighting the fertile nature of the shear zone. Best results include 50m @ 0.36g/t Au from 0m, 1m @ 0.97g/t Au from 15m, 46m @ 0.28g/t Au from 23m inc. 1m @ 4.2g/t Au from 59m, 40m @ 0.35g/t Au from 86m inc. 1m @ 2.11g/t Au from 91m, and 25m @ 0.38g/t Au from 43m inc. 1m @ 1.86g/t Au from 61m. Mineralisation remains open between wide spaced drillholes, at depth and along strike, particularly between the 500m gap between Sunnyside and 25ENRC015, which returned very encouraging results. Drilling reached an average of ~100m vertical but was unable to test planned depths of ~250m vertical due to excessive groundwater. Further work will include detailed structural analysis and additional drilling along strike and at depth.

Outlook

Following a scheduled break over Christmas-New Year period, the company's diamond drilling program at Sunnyside has now recommenced. The company looks forward to the extensive news flow this fully funded 10,000m program will generate over the coming months.
