More High-Grade Gold in Kamperman Extensional Drilling
Key Points
  • Assay results confirm presence of high-grade gold mineralisation beyond current Mineral Resource at Kamperman
  • Diamond drilling at Theia intersects multiple high-grade intercepts, including 4.15m at 33.2g/t Au
  • Aggressive exploration program underway across Feysville and Mandilla projects
Full Summary

Astral Resources has received assay results from a 17-hole (2,954m) reverse circulation (RC) drill program at the Kamperman Deposit, part of its 100%-owned Feysville Gold Project, and a 7-hole (2,416m) diamond drill (DD) program at the Theia Deposit, part of the 100%-owned Mandilla Gold Project. The Kamperman program was designed to test a variety of targets aimed at increasing the current Mineral Resource and improving geological understanding, with a focus on high-grade zones. Highlights include 14m at 6.79g/t Au, 13m at 6.60g/t Au, and 21m at 3.11g/t Au, confirming the presence of north-west striking high-grade gold mineralization beyond the current Mineral Resource model. At Theia, the DD program targeted a potential steeply dipping sub-parallel structure to the east of the main deposit, with visible gold logged in all four holes and a best result of 4.15m at 33.2g/t Au. A separate 3-hole program also successfully intersected a distinct, narrow high-grade shear zone, the '230 Shear', with results up to 1.57m at 22.8g/t Au. Astral has ramped up exploration across its projects, with three drill rigs currently operating, including programs focused on resource definition, sterilization, and geotechnical work. The company is planning follow-up drilling to further define the potential sub-parallel structures at Theia, as well as additional work at Kamperman following the recent high-grade results.

Outlook

Astral has ramped up exploration activities for 2026 with three drill rigs (2 RC and 1 DD rig) currently operating on site. Follow-up work is planned to further define the potential sub-parallel structures to the east and below the Stage 5 Theia pit, and additional drilling will be undertaken at Kamperman to build on the recent high-grade results.
