Q2 FY26 Quarterly Report
- Record quarterly production of 7.03 PJe, a new group record
- Record quarterly revenue of $71.6 million and average realised gas price of $10.32/GJ
- Record spot gas sales of 2,000TJ, equivalent to 21.7 TJ/d or 33% of Orbost Gas Processing Plant sales
Amplitude Energy delivered another strong operational performance in Q2 FY26, with record group production of 7.03 PJe, a new record. This was driven by continued stable operations at the Orbost Gas Processing Plant (OGPP) in the Gippsland Basin, which operated above 66 TJ/d on approximately 95% of days during the quarter and set new daily and 7-day production records of 70 TJ/d and 69.6 TJ/d respectively. The company also achieved record quarterly revenue of $71.6 million and an average realised gas price of $10.32/GJ, both up 2% on the previous quarter. This was supported by record spot gas sales of 2,000TJ, equivalent to 21.7 TJ/d or 33% of OGPP sales gas, as Amplitude took advantage of strong and consistent production to maximise realised prices. In the Otway Basin, the company received the Transocean Equinox rig and commenced drilling of the Elanora prospect as part of the East Coast Supply Project, with the Nestor prospect to be drilled later in the year. FEED for the project's development phase is nearing completion, and Amplitude expects to make a final investment decision in Q3 FY26. The company also progressed the Patricia Baleen commercialisation opportunity in the Gippsland Basin and conducted a 3-well development campaign in the Cooper Basin. Financially, Amplitude reduced net debt to $34.2 million at the end of the quarter, down 85% from the previous quarter.
Amplitude Energy expects to fund the East Coast Supply Project capex from existing cash on hand, underlying organic cash generation over 2025-2028, and the company's existing bank debt facility.
Amplitude Energy is in active negotiations with potential gas customers regarding foundation contracts for the East Coast Supply Project on behalf of the Offshore Otway Basin joint venture partners. The company also expects to receive regulatory approvals to increase production at the Orbost Gas Processing Plant beyond its nameplate capacity and will trial operations at above 68 TJ/day over the coming months.
