Drill results confirm copper-gold at Anabama Project
Key Points
  • Assays received from first of two diamond drillholes confirm copper-gold mineralisation in fresh bedrock
  • Drillhole 25ANDD001 intersected 20m at 0.6% copper, 0.2 g/t gold and 3 g/t silver, including higher-grade intervals
  • Mineralisation extended 130m below historic drilling, supporting interpretation of continuous mineralisation at depth
Full Summary

Red Hill Minerals has received the first results from its maiden diamond drilling program at the Anabama Copper-Gold Project in South Australia. The initial drillhole, 25ANDD001, was designed to confirm historic results and test for continuation of mineralisation at depth. Assay results have confirmed copper-gold mineralisation is hosted in fresh bedrock, with the hole intersecting 20m at 0.6% copper, 0.2 g/t gold and 3 g/t silver from 313.1m, including higher-grade intervals of 3.2m at 1.0% copper, 1.0 g/t gold and 3.8 g/t silver, and 3.8m at 1.2% copper, 0.3 g/t gold and 8.1 g/t silver. These results have extended the known mineralisation 130m below the bottom of the previous deepest historic drillhole, CRD10, supporting the interpretation of continuous mineralisation at depth. The mineralisation is associated with secondary veining hosting quartz-carbonate-chlorite assemblages with varying amounts of pyrite-chalcopyrite-pyrrhotite, confirming a hydrothermal origin. The targeted IP anomaly correlates with these intersections and warrants further testing along strike. The second drillhole, 25ANDD002, is pending assays, and downhole electromagnetic surveys are scheduled to be completed in both holes to test for additional conductors indicating further mineralisation.

Outlook

The company plans to complete further geological review and interpretation as the assays from the second drillhole and the results from the downhole electromagnetic surveys are received.
