Humm Group Receives Takeovers Panel Application
- Akat Investments Pty Ltd files application with Takeovers Panel
- Concerns over disclosure of Credit Corp acquisition proposal
- Entities connected to Humm Chair Andrew Abercrombie acquire 15M shares
Humm Group Limited (ASX: HUM) has received an application from shareholder Akat Investments Pty Ltd in relation to the company's affairs. The application raises concerns over Humm's handling of a non-binding indicative acquisition proposal received from Credit Corp Group Limited (ASX: CCP) on 19 November 2025. The applicant alleges that Humm did not disclose the Credit Corp proposal for almost a month, only doing so after receiving a notice from shareholder Jeremy Raper and Collins Street Value Fund stating an intention to move resolutions to remove certain Humm directors. The applicant also claims that Humm did not release complete details of the Credit Corp proposal, and that due diligence has still not been granted to Credit Corp over two months after the proposal was received. Additionally, the applicant is concerned about on-market share purchases made by entities connected to Humm Chair Andrew Abercrombie over 17-19 December 2025, which increased his relevant interest in the company to 29.19%. The applicant is seeking interim and final orders from the Takeovers Panel, including preventing the shares purchased by Abercrombie-connected entities from being voted at an upcoming extraordinary general meeting.
