AMU Reports Successful Quarterly Drilling Program at Lo Herma
- 50 resource expansion drill holes completed, confirming 3,000m of new uranium trends
- Best intercept of 4.1m at 0.078% eU3O8, including 1m at 0.143% eU3O8
- Hydrogeological testing validates favorable aquifer characteristics for ISR mining
American Uranium (ASX:AMU) has reported on a highly productive December 2025 quarter, with the completion of 50 resource expansion drill holes totaling 16,300m at its flagship Lo Herma ISR uranium project. The drilling confirmed the presence of uranium mineralization up to 3,000m north of the proposed Mine Units 1 and 2, with the best intercept being 4.1m at 0.078% eU3O8, including 1m at 0.143% eU3O8. The company also secured 12 new mineral claims totaling 96 hectares to extend the project area. Importantly, the company announced the results of independent hydrogeological testing, which confirmed the aquifer's transmissivity, hydraulic conductivity, and overall productivity are consistent with other permitted and operating ISR uranium mines in Wyoming's Powder River Basin. This represents a key milestone in de-risking the project and validates the suitability of the site for in-situ recovery. AMU plans to resume drilling in 2026, focusing on infill, monitoring well installation, and strategic resource expansion, with the goal of updating the Mineral Resource Estimate and Scoping Study.
AMU plans to resume drilling operations during CY2026 focusing on infill drilling, installation of additional monitoring wells, and strategic resource expansion drilling. Following the completion of that work, AMU plans to advance a further update to the Mineral Resource Estimate and Exploration Target for Lo Herma with the goal of increasing resource confidence to be used in an updated scoping study.
