HIGH-RESOLUTION GRAVITY SURVEY COMPLETED AT CUE GOLD PROJECT
- Gravity survey completed over Cue Gold Project in WA
- Gravity data to help identify gold-bearing structures
- Interpretation and target generation underway
E79 Gold Mines has completed a high-resolution gravity survey over its Cue Gold Project in the Murchison Region of Western Australia. The survey consisted of 3,474 gravity stations on a 100m by 100m grid in the western half of the project and a 200m by 200m grid in the eastern half. The data is now being processed and interpreted, which is expected to take 2-3 weeks. High-resolution gravity surveys have been successfully used in the area to delineate cross-cutting structures that host high-grade gold deposits, such as the neighbouring Great Fingall Mine and Break of Day. In conjunction with the gravity data, historical magnetic data will also be re-processed to aid in the geological interpretation and target generation ahead of drilling. The Cue Gold Project is located immediately south of the historical Day Dawn goldfield, which is home to Westgold's Great Fingall Gold Mine that produced 1.2Moz at an average grade of 19.2g/t gold. The geological setting is considered highly favourable for high-grade, quartz reef-hosted gold deposits similar to those at Great Fingall, Golden Crown and Break of Day.
The completion of the high-resolution gravity survey, after processing and interpretation, will pave the way for drill target definition and planning of the Company's first drill program on the project. Heritage agreements are being drafted over the project to enable the granting of the pending tenure applications.
