Yellow Cat U-V Project Contains a Historical Resource
- Yellow Cat Project contains a non-JORC compliant historical resource estimate of 56,850 tons at 2,400ppm U3O8 & 1.47% V2O5
- Historical resource interpreted from 1,721 drillholes over 6 phases of drilling between 1951-1954
- Anson's exploration confirms high-grade uranium and vanadium mineralization
Anson Resources Ltd (ASX: ASN) is pleased to announce a non-JORC compliant historical mineral resource estimate of 56,850 tons at 2,400ppm U3O8 and 1.47% V2O5 at its Yellow Cat Ur-V Project in Utah, USA. The historical resource was interpreted from 6 phases of drilling, consisting of 995 diamond drillholes (165,505 ft) and 726 reverse circulation drillholes (54,973 ft), carried out by the U.S Bureau of Mines and U.S Geological Survey between 1951-1954. Anson's exploration programs have confirmed the high-grade uranium and vanadium mineralization within the sandstone units of the Morrison Formation, with rock chip samples returning assays of up to 10.33% U3O8 and 25.6% V2O5. The mineralization is characterized by thick, narrow belts of sandstone lenses interbedded with red mudstone, containing organic material and associated with limonite and pyrite. While the historical resource is not reported in accordance with the JORC Code 2012, Anson believes this information is material and relevant to the company's Yellow Cat project. Anson plans to commence further evaluation and exploration work in the second quarter of 2026 to verify the historical estimates and potentially report a JORC-compliant mineral resource.
