Groundwater Analysis Confirms ISR Operations Suitability
- Groundwater samples from Manyingee South, Manyingee North and Cosgrove show low levels of chlorine and sulphate, indicating suitability for ISR operations
- Initial water analysis conducted by ANSTO Minerals, a leading provider of technical services to the uranium mining sector
- Confirms potential for future ISR production at Yanrey Uranium Project
Cauldron Energy Limited has received positive groundwater analysis results from its Yanrey Uranium Project, confirming the suitability of the palaeochannel aquifers for in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium mining. The analysis, conducted by ANSTO Minerals, a leading provider of technical services to the uranium mining sector, shows that groundwater samples from the Manyingee South, Manyingee North and Cosgrove prospects all contain low levels of chlorine and sulphate, indicating that the groundwater is likely to be suitable for ISR operations. This is an important milestone for Cauldron as it progresses the Yanrey Uranium Project towards potential future ISR production. The company has defined over 42 million pounds of uranium oxide resources at Yanrey, with the Bennet Well deposit containing 30.9 million pounds and the newly discovered Manyingee South deposit containing 11.1 million pounds. Cauldron's 2025 exploration program was highly successful, with the discovery of two new uranium prospects at Manyingee North and Cosgrove, as well as the expansion of the Manyingee South deposit. The company will continue to collect and analyze groundwater samples as part of its ongoing technical work to prove up the potential for a future ISR operation at Yanrey.
Cauldron will continue to take further groundwater samples and monitor water quality as it progresses the Yanrey Uranium Project, with the goal of proving up the potential for a future world-class ISR operation. The company will also leverage its partnership with Navoiuyran, one of the world's most experienced ISR companies, to build its ISR expertise.
