BPH Global Ltd, a leading commercial seaweed supply and export company, has executed a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN), Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency. The MoU was signed as part of BRIN's 'BRIN Goes to Industries' program, a national initiative to accelerate research downstreaming and strategic industrial capability. PT BPH Global Indonesia, BPH Global's Indonesian subsidiary, was selected by BRIN to execute the MoU alongside a limited group of industry participants. The MoU establishes a cooperation framework to undertake R&D and innovation activities relating to seaweed-derived products, synergizing resources and competencies. BRIN currently holds existing, formally registered background intellectual property in Indonesia relating to fucoidan extraction technology, which may be licensed to BPH Global under agreed terms. The companies also plan to co-develop the fucoidan extraction technology and its application in anti-ageing products. The MoU has an initial term of three years, with the first implementing agreements expected within six months.

The MoU provides a framework for BPH Global to access existing fucoidan extraction technology and collaborate with BRIN on further development and commercialization of seaweed-derived products, but does not include any high-importance, price-sensitive forward-looking financial metrics.

The MoU represents a significant step for BPH Global in establishing a structured collaboration with Indonesia's national innovation agency, providing a clear pathway to advance seaweed-derived R&D, validation, and commercialization, including access to existing government-owned technology and opportunities for co-development aligned with Indonesia's national downstreaming agenda.
