Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited ('SCEE Group') has announced the award of a range of new contracts totalling $75m. The awards include a new two-year Master Services Agreement with CITIC Pacific Mining to provide electrical maintenance and repair services at the Sino Iron Project in Western Australia, continuing SCEE Electrical's long-standing relationship with CITIC Pacific Mining. In New South Wales, Taylor Construction Group has awarded Heyday four further packages of electrical works at a hyperscale data centre in Sydney's west, bringing the total number of packages awarded to Heyday at this site to ten. In the ACT, following the award of early enabling works, Heyday has now been awarded the main electrical, communications, and security package for the new Canberra Lyric Theatre under a design and construct contract with Multiplex Constructions. Additionally, Richard Crookes Constructions has awarded Force Fire the fire services contract for the base building construction and integrated fit-out of a 100,000 sqm distribution centre in south-west Sydney for a major retail chain. SCEE Group Managing Director Graeme Dunn commented that these awards demonstrate the geographic diversity of the group and the breadth of sectors to which it is exposed, with many of the packages being repeat works for particular clients or sites, evidence of the quality of delivery by the group's businesses.
