KalGold reports thick gold intercepts at Kirgella Gift and Providence
Key Points
  • First pass diamond drilling program completed at Kirgella Gift and Providence
  • Broad zones of gold anomalism and mineralisation intersected, extending to 300m depth
  • New targets identified for follow-up drilling to test vertical continuity and repetition
Full Summary

Kalgoorlie Gold Mining Limited (KalGold) is pleased to report the results of its first pass diamond drilling program at the Kirgella Gift and Providence gold deposits within the Pinjin Project, located approximately 140km northeast of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The four-hole, 1,154.6m program was co-funded under the Western Australian Government's Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS). Highlights include broad zones of gold anomalism and mineralisation, with thick intercepts such as 15m at 1.75g/t Au from 26m, including 6m at 2.74g/t Au, and 28m at 2.24g/t Au from 92m in hole KGDD25004 at Kirgella Gift. The drilling has confirmed that primary orogenic gold mineralisation extends to a vertical depth of 300m beneath surface, deeper than previous RC drilling and 160m below the existing JORC Code (2012) Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 76,400oz. The diamond drilling has also provided valuable structural, geotechnical, and density data to support future resource upgrades. New targets have been identified for follow-up drilling to test the vertical continuity and potential repetition of the high-grade gold mineralisation directly beneath the known resources. KalGold plans to undertake further RC and aircore drilling programs across the broader Pinjin Project area to continue defining the extent of gold mineralisation.

Outlook

Upcoming drill programs will include further RC drilling at Lighthorse, and extensive first-pass aircore drilling to test new conceptual gold targets throughout the Pinjin Project area. Additional drilling is also required at Kirgella Gift and Providence to test the vertical continuity and/or repetition of high-grade gold mineralisation, as well as studies to facilitate advancement towards higher-certainty resources and reserves.
