Nick Scali Limited, a leading furniture retailer, has announced its results for the half-year ended 31 December 2025 (H1 FY26). The group reported a 36% increase in statutory net profit after tax, reflecting 13.1% growth in sales revenue in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) and an improvement in gross profit margin in both the ANZ and UK markets. The ANZ group delivered a statutory net profit after tax of $46.6 million, up 36.7% compared to the prior year. Written sales orders in the ANZ region increased by 10.5%, with a 150 basis point improvement in gross profit margin to 65.9%.The UK operations reported a statutory net loss after tax of $5.6 million, in line with forecast, as the business continued its store refurbishment and rebranding program. However, the UK gross profit margin improved significantly to 59.2%, up from 45.1% in the prior year.The company declared a fully franked interim dividend of 39 cents per share, with a record date of 3 March 2026 and a payment date of 24 March 2026.Looking ahead, the company expects continued growth in the ANZ region, with six new stores to be opened in FY26 and additional opportunities under negotiation in the UK market.

In Australia and New Zealand, written sales orders for January increased by 3.1% compared to the prior year, with LFL written sales orders up 3.2%. In the UK, the majority of the store refurbishment program is now complete, and the company has seen improvement in written sales compared to the prior year, with the four Nick Scali branded stores that were trading in January FY25 achieving LFL sales growth of 32% in January FY26.
