- EAU Lithium signs Negotiation Agreement with Bolivia's state-owned lithium company YLB
- Negotiation Agreement sets framework for discussions on possible future contract for industrial plants using Vulcan Energy's VULSORB®A-DLE technology
- EAU Lithium selected from 34 parties in Public Tender Round #2 to proceed with technology testing and viability modelling
Cosmos Exploration Limited (ASX: C1X) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary EAU Lithium Pty Ltd has executed a Negotiation Agreement with Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB), Bolivia's state-owned lithium company. The Agreement sets out how the two parties will conduct formal discussions towards a possible future Contract for the implementation of industrial plants, utilizing the VULSORB®A-DLE technology licensed to EAU Lithium by Vulcan Energy Resources. The Agreement follows earlier technical testing work led by EAU Lithium, demonstrating Vulcan Energy's technology on brine samples from Bolivia, and a subsequent invitation from YLB to continue negotiations. EAU Lithium, in strategic partnership with Vulcan Energy, was selected from 34 parties in the Public Tender Round #2 to proceed with technology testing and viability modelling. The negotiation agreement is a procedural framework for discussions, and does not grant rights over land or resources or replace community consultation or further regulatory processes. EAU Lithium remains committed to transparency and will provide updates on the progress of negotiations when appropriate. The announcement highlights the strategic importance of lithium to Europe's industrial and decarbonisation agenda, and the Bolivian government's efforts to attract responsible long-term investment in the lithium sector.
The potential future contract for the implementation of industrial plants will require further negotiation under the Negotiation Agreement. EAU Lithium will continue to keep stakeholders informed as it advances development activities in Bolivia, consistent with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
