National Australia Bank Limited (NAB) has released its 2026 First Quarter Pillar 3 Report, as required under the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority Prudential Standard APS 330 Public Disclosure. The report shows that NAB's CET1 capital decreased by $254 million or 0.5% compared to the previous quarter, mainly due to the payment of the final dividend for the 2025 financial year and unfavourable foreign currency translation impacts, partially offset by net profit for the quarter. Total RWA increased by $6.0 billion or 1.4%, primarily driven by lending growth, largely in corporate (including small and medium-sized enterprises) and residential mortgages, as well as model updates. The leverage ratio decreased by 6 basis points to 4.86%, due to an increase in total exposures from higher reverse repurchase agreement activity, on-balance sheet exposures, and off-balance sheet exposures, partially offset by a decrease in derivative exposures. The liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) and net stable funding ratio (NSFR) both increased during the quarter, with the LCR rising to 136% and the NSFR increasing to 117%.
NAB did not provide any high-importance, price-sensitive forward-looking financial metrics in the announcement.
