Pacgold to commence heap leach re-crush at White Dam Gold Project
- Arrival of new screen and crusher equipment to enable re-crush of top lift of existing heap leach pad
- Assays and test work results expected within a week
- Sonic drilling program underway to ascertain remaining resource and leachable gold within the pad
Pacgold Ltd has announced that screen and crusher equipment is being mobilized to the Company's 100% owned White Dam Gold Project, located 80km east of Broken Hill in South Australia's Olary Province. The arrival of a Metso ST 4.1 screen and Metso HP300 cone crusher with a radial stacker is scheduled for the week of March 9, 2026. This equipment will enable the commencement of re-crushing the top lift of the existing heap leach pad. The White Dam site area recently received around 100mm of rain, temporarily restricting access to the mine and pausing some refurbishment works. However, the scheduled arrival of the new equipment is well-timed to enable the re-crush campaign once access is restored. In addition, Pacgold expects to receive assays from earlier sampling of the top lift of the existing heap leach, as well as LeachWELL test work results, in the coming weeks. These results will allow the company to estimate and disclose forecast production for 2026-2027 from the heap leach re-crush.A sonic drilling program is also currently underway, with approximately 100 holes planned to ascertain the remaining resource and leachable gold within the heap leach pad.Pacgold's Managing Director, Matthew Boyes, commented that the company is well-positioned to commence the re-crush once the new equipment arrives, and that the recent heavy rainfall, while temporarily restricting access, has added a significant amount of water to the pad and storage ponds, which is very welcome.
