KNB hits high-grade shallow gold, extends Sunnyside system
Key Points
  • High-grade shallow gold intersections up to 62.3g/t Au
  • Mineralisation extended along strike and up-dip, improving confidence
  • Visible gold observed in multiple holes, indicating further extensions
Full Summary

Koonenberry Gold has received results from diamond drilling at its Enmore project in NSW, highlighting high-grade shallow gold mineralisation and extensions to the Sunnyside system. Key results include 31m @ 1.11g/t Au from 41m including 0.5m @ 62.3g/t Au, 19m @ 1.07g/t Au from 346m, and 6m @ 1.61g/t Au from 329m. The results have extended mineralisation along strike to the east as well as up-dip of previous drilling, improving confidence in the broad zone of potential bulk tonnage gold mineralisation. Importantly, the shallow high-grade intercept suggests the high-grade zones previously intersected at depth may continue towards surface. Visible gold was observed in multiple holes, indicating further extensions to the mineralised zone are likely. To demonstrate the district potential at Enmore, the company has moved the drill rig to test priority targets at Postman's Gully, where historical workings have returned up to 14.05g/t Au. District-scale exploration is also underway across six priority targets along the Borah, Sheba and Chandler faults. Koonenberry Gold is well-funded to continue its aggressive exploration program, with $6.3 million in cash reported at the end of 2025.

Outlook

Koonenberry Gold is well-funded to continue exploration across its projects, with results expected from ongoing drilling and geochemical sampling at Enmore, geophysical programs and planned drilling at several Lachlan projects, and a 3,500m RC drilling program at the Junee JV with Newmont. Investors can expect strong news flow in the coming months.
