Matsa Resources Limited ('Matsa') has responded to an ABC News online article published on 17 March 2026, which claimed that a number of employees at Blue Cap Mining Pty Ltd ('BCM') had to be stood down due to fuel shortages, and that BCM's mining contract operation at the Devon Pit Gold Mine ('Devon') 'is set to grind to a halt'. Matsa categorically confirms that this statement is incorrect and that mining is continuing at Devon. Matsa and BCM have introduced prudent steps to minimize fuel-usage to ensure mining continues at Devon, and these steps do not have any forecast changes to Matsa's target for processing at FMR commencing 28 May 2026 as previously advised. Matsa's Executive Chairman, Mr. Paul Poli, expressed disappointment that the ABC News article contained incorrect statements and that they did not contact the Company for comment before publishing the article. Matsa has stated that the ABC News has since retracted their comments in relation to Devon.
