Anson Resources Ltd (ASX: ASN) has commenced drilling at its Yellow Cat Uranium Vanadium Project in Utah, USA. The objective of the 1,000-meter 'aircore' drilling program is to confirm the mineralization extends for 4,500m between known uranium and vanadium historical workings to the east of the historical resource area. The drilling program, expected to be completed in two weeks, will see 0.3m samples collected through the mineralized zones and 0.3m composite samples over the remaining intervals, with samples sent to a certified laboratory for assay. Previous exploration by Anson has yielded high-grade results, with values up to 10.33% U3O8 and 25.6% V2O5. The mineralization is shallow and located above the water table, allowing for minimal disturbance. Anson plans to conduct further drilling programs to potentially upgrade the historical resource to a JORC-compliant mineral resource.
